We will be screening the film As Primeiras (The First Women), a documentary film focused on Brazil鈥檚 first women鈥檚 soccer team. These players fought for women's soccer to be not only re-legalized but also publicly recognized for their accomplishments and athleticism after decades of authoritarian control, oversight, and oppression. Following the film, there will be a student-led discussion. This event will be located in the Pulse, and there will be free refreshments and snacks provided.
